Le professeur Michael Kwong est né à Hong Kong en 1972, a étudié au Columbus College of Art & Design et a travaillé comme illustrateur aux États-Unis après avoir obtenu son diplôme. En 2002, il est finalement retourné à Hong Kong pour poursuivre sa carrière artistique. Le professeur Kwong a enseigné dans différentes universités, dont l'université de Shantou, l'université de Xiamen et le Savannah College of Art and Design. Parallèlement, il a travaillé en tant que peintre pop art et expressionniste abstrait, créant des œuvres d'art qui combinent les caractéristiques de la culture orientale et la technique de peinture occidentale.
