Biographie

Né au Canada, Skyler (Ron Haigh lorsqu'il n'est pas sur la toile) vit au Japon depuis plus de quarante ans. Pendant la majeure partie de cette période, il a travaillé à temps plein pour une multinationale japonaise en tant que guide et présentateur sur les thèmes de la technologie de la mobilité et de ses avantages pour la société. Pendant cette période, il a voyagé dans plus de soixante-dix pays, s'imprégnant de nombreux styles et traditions artistiques différents pendant son temps libre. Avant de venir au Japon, l'artiste a étudié la littérature anglaise, l'histoire de l'art et les études japonaises. Au Japon, il s'est formé à la peinture à l'huile et a appris en autodidacte les arts graphiques en utilisant une dizaine de logiciels différents. Depuis qu'il s'est retiré à Shizuoka, au Japon, en mars 2022, Skyler passe presque tous les jours à créer des œuvres d'art numériques en tant qu'artiste graphique.
