Concept

Avant le début de la grande guerre russo-ukrainienne, je peignais surtout des paysages naturels et urbains lors de mes voyages en Ukraine et dans d'autres pays. Mais après le 24 février 2022, la douleur de la perte du peuple ukrainien, des soldats et des civils, des villes détruites, le destin mutilé de millions de personnes m'ont obligé à changer d'angle de vision et maintenant, pour moi, les motifs principaux sont les gens, car c'est la plus grande valeur. Bien que mon rêve d'un voyage autour du monde demeure, il est subordonné au thème de la guerre. Quand je peins la nature d'autres pays, je pense à la nature de l'Ukraine, que les agresseurs russes ont minée. Quand je peins les paysages urbains d'autres pays, je me souviens des villes ukrainiennes complètement ou partiellement détruites... Quand je peins les gens d'autres pays, je me souviens, les larmes aux yeux, des dizaines de milliers de civils, d'enfants et de soldats ukrainiens tués ou blessés.

Biographie

Andrii Kovalyk, un artiste ukrainien voyageur, est né en 1986 dans la ville de Tchernivtsi, en Ukraine. Il a reçu une formation professionnelle en peinture d'icônes, pendant ses études il a copié des icônes anciennes dans certains des plus grands musées. Pendant ses études et plusieurs années plus tard, il a peint des églises et a peint des icônes. Mais en 2018, il a décidé de réaliser son vieux rêve d'un voyage autour du monde. Depuis lors, il voyage presque sans interruption sur un vélo dans différents pays du monde entier et peint d'après nature. Grâce aux voyages, il apprend à se connaître et à connaître le monde qui l'entoure, et à l'aide de la peinture, il essaie de transmettre toute la gamme d'émotions et d'impressions des histoires qui se produisent assez pendant ses voyages. Participant et lauréat d'expositions et de concours internationaux.
Ses peintures et icônes sont conservées dans des collections privées aux États-Unis, au Royaume-Uni, dans d'autres pays d'Europe et dans le monde entier. Il vit et voyage actuellement en Espagne.
