Il réinterprète en outre les symboles iconiques de l'URSS, notamment en modifiant les portraits de Lénine et d'autres dirigeants soviétiques qui ont depuis été interdits en Ukraine. Balbyshev parvient finalement à une esthétique artistique marquée par de puissants éclats de couleur, des éléments surréalistes mystiques, des qualités décoratives du kitsch et des aspects absurdes rappelant le dadaïsme.

À propos d'Oleksandr Balbyshev
Oleksandr Balbyshev est né en 1985 en Ukraine, l'une des plus grandes républiques soviétiques. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de l'Académie d'État de génie civil et d'architecture de Prydniprovska en 2012, il a travaillé dans le domaine de l'architecture et du design....
À propos d'Oleksandr Balbyshev
Oleksandr Balbyshev est né en 1985 en Ukraine, l'une des plus grandes républiques soviétiques. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de l'Académie d'État de génie civil et d'architecture de Prydniprovska en 2012, il a travaillé dans le domaine de l'architecture et du design. Mais deux ans plus tard, en lien avec l'agression militaire de la Russie contre l'Ukraine, une grave crise financière a commencé. En 2016, Oleksandr a perdu son emploi. Il a décidé de changer d'activité et de devenir un artiste. Oleksandr vit et travaille actuellement à Lviv, en Ukraine.
