Il est né à Sønderborg au Danemark, près de la frontière allemande. Sa mère est danoise et son père était allemand, mais a étudié la construction au Danemark et est devenu danois. Son père a créé une entreprise d'architecture et de construction à Fredericia dans les années 70, et Henrik a grandi en travaillant dans le bureau de son père : Le bureau de dessin de Saar.
En grandissant, Henrik a appris l'architecture et s'est dit qu'un jour, il serait lui aussi architecte. Il y avait juste un problème à ce sujet : Il n'avait aucun intérêt pour les maisons, la construction ou les bâtiments, et n'était pas très pratique. Il aimait beaucoup les dessins, mais il ne savait pas quoi faire avec cet intérêt bizarre pour les dessins animés, il semblait assez peu pertinent de créer des caricatures amusantes et d'écrire sur ses sentiments dans son journal et plus tard d'expérimenter dans les paroles, donc pour faire quelque chose de rationnel, il a commencé à étudier à l'école séminaire de Tønder 1988. Après avoir terminé ses studios d'enseignant, qu'il avait axés sur l'esthétique existentielle dans la religion, l'art, la pédagogie et la pédagogie pour adultes, il a travaillé pendant trois ans comme professeur d'art et de développement personnel dans un lycée. Pendant tout ce temps, de 1989 à aujourd'hui, il a travaillé en tant qu'artiste. En 2006, il a commencé à travailler comme artiste international, d'abord en Allemagne, puis aux États-Unis, en Italie, en Suisse et en Autriche. Pendant tout ce temps, il a exposé ses œuvres aux Biennales, à la Triennale et aux expositions. . De même, il figure dans le prestigieux annuaire De Agostini dans la section Art star, reconnu pour son message artistique et son style remarquable.
