Concept
I create my work with glue and mineral pigment on Japanese paper, washi. I draw mainly the scenery that captures the theme symbolically using the touch of lines while emphasizing the rhythm of colors.
My experience of the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami in 2011 affected my thoughts on life. The scenery won't last forever as there are seasons changing and also it may affect by disasters as well. But change is not just sadness, there is beauty and hope in it as well. I wanted to paint a place for myself or others on the screen while adapting these elements.Related Articles
