This work was made from driftwood that had drifted ashore. The stump, which would have been cut down by a lumberjack and left on the mountain as it was, must have been washed into the river by heavy rains or landslides and ended up at the sea. The tree's life seems to have been carved into its tracks, and we polished the stump to the minimum amount of detail so as to preserve the traces of the tree's life. The marks left by the tree when it was cut down, the unevenness of the surface polished by the torrents of the river and the sea, and the greatness of nature that can be felt from these marks, are all part of the tree's life, and I created this piece so that flowers and vessels can be displayed on the tree. The more you use it for a long time, the more it will deepen its flavor. Weight: 14.5kg
