When viewed vertically, this sea turtle looks like a wine bottle. The material used is only the cap sticker attached to the neck of a wine bottle. This work is based on the simple appearance and the overlap of meanings, and is compared to the "bottleneck phenomenon" in which the population of organisms declines dramatically as the neck of a bottle becomes thinner and thinner. I heard that there was a bottleneck phenomenon in the human population during the Ice Age, when the number of people old enough to have children dropped from more than 10,000 to only a few hundred. The population is in danger of extinction due to the loss of genetic diversity as the number of individuals in the population plummets. The sea turtles used as a motif are an endangered species because they eat plastic trash, get caught in nets, and pollute the ocean and beaches. The feeling of wanting to protect such a beautiful creature naturally wells up as I create. The wrinkles, the shell, and the dull eyes. It would be great if you could see them while sipping a glass of wine.
