    Description

In the rhythm series, I wanted to create something that would accompany the human body in the midst of today's inevitably claustrophobic daily life, and that would not be tiring to look at every day. The repetitive linear motifs are made of fragile materials such as paper and wood, which have constituted living spaces and enveloped human beings since ancient times. Beside the everyday life that tends to lose control, they tick a delicate and forgiving rhythm like a humanized metronome.

    Concept

My work is an abstracted memory of space, expressed through the accumulation and repetition of linear motifs. I am always looking for the object generated in the design process
I have always been attracted to objects generated in the design process, especially to media such as unfinished architectural models, whose fragments serve as catalysts for the reorganization of my forgotten physical memories.
I have always been attracted to objects produced in the design process, especially to media such as unfinished architectural models, whose fragments serve as catalysts to reorganize my forgotten physical memories.
Like a karesansui (dry landscape garden), the model, which is constructed from familiar materials such as paper and wood, rejects direct physical intervention (intrusion) and requires symbolic acts of recognition, despite the fact that it is material. I thought that the act of generating media with such characteristics would function as a system in which obsessional figures, which spread endlessly in illusion, are finified and presented in real space in the form of 3D symbols.
The patterns and rhythms inherent in physical memory are reduced to linear elements composed horizontally and vertically.
The smallest unit generated with a temporal direction is repeated, just like composing an etude.
I am interested in the physicality in dreams and memories, how these sensations can be fed back into the material world, and how they can be shared with others through this medium.
I am interested in the illusions of the lunae.
