These incomplete parts, the face, the hand, are the transposition of single fragments of life (fears, joys, loves, traumas).
Every little piece forms the human being and involves its evolution in the constant uncertainty of living that characterizes today's era.
However, broadening our point of view we can observe that this "one" becomes part of a further whole.
Each individual himself becomes a fragment of society: the cradle of the ambiguity that could be described as “collective-individualism”.
This ambiguity can lead some people to an existential crisis and to searching a balance between the "collective" and the "individual".
Similarly within the work I have recreated a concatenation of solids areas and voids areas where the figure seeks its place, its dimension.
To create this concatenation of empty and full spaces, I used recycled materials because, in addition to redeveloping the material itself, they create a unity of form without losing their singularity.
This causes each fragment to be one of a kind and symbolizes the experiences of a lifetime that put together form the uniqueness of the human being.
