Concept

In my artistic work I love to reflect on things and look behind them. The topics I deal with are about the "unseen", what goes unnoticed, what is under the surface and behind the appearance.
I like to flip the coin and see the other side: I love to discover every day, that the division into good and bad, black and white does not exist.
The "invisible" evil is part of these topics: it is a silent and imperceptible violence. It is the violence that hides in indifference, in feeling superior to others, in prejudice.
It's something you don't expect, a grotesque feeling that scares you. It is pure disquiet.
We all want to do the right thing but it's hard. The reason it's hard to make "the right choice" is not because leading a righteous life is a great sacrifice; it's hard because it's not a clearly recognizable way.
We all want to do the right thing but often don't know what it is.
Despite the good intentions, this form of evil is no different in its consequences from overt violent evil. The Invisible Evil hurts, it can kill.
In all my work I argue that consciousness is necessary because we have sociopolitical weight and are responsible for our every action and our every non-action; for our every word and our every silence.
