This is a multifaceted photographic sculpture based on an image of a coelacanth that has been sculpted using paper craft technology.
It is a larger version of the coelacanth I made before, with a total length of 40 cm. Because of the larger size, the resolution of the parts has been increased considerably. In particular, the details (eyeballs, fins, etc.) have been finished in great detail.
The coelacanth's original expression is superimposed with colorful coloring patterns.
Even with the pop colors, the large size of the body gives the piece a strong impact.
