This minimalist bust is a pivotal piece in my CREATOR A-Ω series, embodying the ancient Greek aphorism “Know Thyself.” This philosophy reveals that self-discovery unveils our shared existence as manifestations of one Creator, united in spirit while experiencing life through diverse forms.
Crafted from light clay, the sculpture presents a pure, minimalist form with only a head and nose details. This simplicity reflects the emptiness of the Creator, where all possibilities reside. The design emphasizes that while the Creator appears as a formless void, it holds infinite knowledge and potential. This work draws inspiration from the Cycladic figurines, known for their simplified forms that convey a sense of timelessness and spirituality, as well as the sculptures of Amedeo Modigliani, whose minimalistic and elegant forms express deep emotional resonance and introspection.
The sculpture's smooth surface, adorned with ochre hues from the manual polishing process, adds distinctive character while maintaining essential simplicity. Through this work, I aspire to inspire a collective awakening to our interconnectedness, encouraging individuals to perceive the world through the lens of love and fostering harmony within themselves and their surroundings.
