Everyone is born into this world with their own life themes and challenges. Because of this, our values and ways of thinking are different. Sometimes we lift each other up and offer support, while at other times, we may hurt each other deeply. Our time in this world is limited, and for that very reason, I truly hope that we can all develop a deep understanding and connection with each other in this “place of learning.”
In this work, I have used the national flowers of various countries to symbolize and express harmony among people.
Hydrangea (native to Japan), Peony (native to China), Blueberry (native to North America), Cosmos (native to Mexico), Gerbera (native to North Africa), Tulip (native to the Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey, Afghanistan), Sunflower (national flower of Russia and Ukraine, native to Spain), Christmas Rose (native to Ukraine), Plum (national flower of Taiwan, native to China), Rose (national flower of the United Kingdom, Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, Luxembourg, Morocco, and the United States; also associated with Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Iraq), Daisy (national flower of Italy), Hibiscus (national flower of South Korea), Lily (national flower of France), Carnation (national flower of Italy), Olive (national flower of Greece), Lotus (national flower of India and Vietnam).
