Driven by a strong determination to get back to painting, he made the decision to quit smoking. The resulting savings enabled him to invest in transforming his garage into a studio dedicated to artistic practice. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the closure of shops, he remains driven by an unshakeable enthusiasm for his artistic practice. The municipality of Berchem-Sainte-Agathe requested his services as part of an operation to revitalize commercial districts9 particularly hard hit by the health crisis at the end of 2020. His participation was required to make an artistic contribution to this initiative. In the same year, he set up Art Hugo Event & Party, a company specializing in window and accessory decoration. The company is dedicated to providing artistic decor for events and parties. He found his artistic calling by specializing in customizing Playmobil XXL. Several galleries have since exhibited his work. He works mainly freehand, using acrylics and posca as his preferred techniques, and his creations are characterized by the use of neon flash colors, angular strokes and broad movements. His works are characterized by a patchwork style that doesn't conform to current artistic canons, although they are inspired by characters from popular culture. From outside the cube, he carried out an aesthetic restoration on one of the walls of the glass cube for the "Viva for Life" charity. He created a custom-made racing helmet for Formula E driver Stoffel Vandoorne. The latter, crowned world champion, wore the helmet at two major events in London.
