Mutsu Hanki Sounin" was created with the image of Abe Sounin. He and his brother Sadato fought together against the Imperial Court forces of Minamoto no Yoriyoshi and Yoshiie in the Former Nine Years' War (1051-1062). In the end, he was captured and exiled to present-day Yamaguchi Prefecture. His descendant is said to be former Prime Minister Abe. The helmet is decorated with a reddish blue cloth, the helmet bowl and shikoro are reddish brown, and the Hachiman-za and shinodara are golden. Sounin is said to have worn an armor helmet called "Seiryu" (blue dragon). I imagined the color blue, but expressed Mune-no's strong hatred toward the imperial court in red. Objectively, I dignified it with indigo-colored calm-colored plain cords. The pattern on the picture leather depicts three dragons. A skull is added to the central dragon as a reference to the Imperial Court. The material is plaster for the helmet bowl. The small tag is made of EVA and coated with urethane varnish. Colors are water-based lacquer, acrylic paint, and urethane varnish. The flat cord is made of rayon. The picture leather is deerskin.
