Materials: smalt, glass, gold, metall.

It's personal. At the beginning of the pandemic, I got sick with Covid and couldn’t smell for a while. My sense of smell was restored, but some smells are distorted, including the scent of my favorite perfume. I have tried to recover it in my memory, remembering their scent and relating the visual image to that scent. The same with the smells of apples, autumn leaves, warm air, the sea, flowers. I hope I can do it...

Three-dimensional mosaic panel made in my author's technique.
The work is made of pieces of smalt and glass.
Each glass element is melted manually.
Each smalt tesser is cut and pasted manually and securely glued to a special glue on a synthetic board.
Fastening hardware at the back.

Concept

Various materials are suitable for mosaics, but my favorite is smalt.Mosaics from smalt turn out colorful, with amazing positive energy.
The mosaic is a completely different kind of art, and it is important to use ALL of its power, including the volume and mosaic textures. I see the perspectives of modern mosaics in the creation of 3D objects.
To realize this idea, I developed my new author's technique, a mosaic of pieces of fused glass. Each glass element is melted manually. This everything is in combination with smalt and metals.
Modern reality dictates new goals and requires the generation of new rhythms that go beyond the limits of flatness, and not only due to light and shadows.

Does this art work need a frame?

In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
