Soot
1. Black, powdery substance that smoke deposits on kitchen walls and ceilings or chimney pipes. Irregularly shaped black spot sometimes found on citrus fruits and bananas, caused by a fungus. - (Michaelis)
It's what we breathe, present in what we ingest and in the objects we handle.
Soot, the result of man's undue action, is the cause of several harms to health and the environment, a discussion much debated by society for years and far from any solution to the problem in the short term.
“SOOT” is a representation of the harm generated by this component from a dramatic point of view, seen in some works with good humor, a communicative element to also denounce inconvenient actions of the human being.
The so-called “civilization”, driven mainly by industrialization, has brought us consequences that today we try to reverse at all costs.
Consciousness is a gift, however, we do not appropriate it in many moments of our existence. It is obvious that the industry still produces most of these particles, therefore, burning tires, firewood, industrial waste, using automobiles powered by oil combustion and many other daily actions are the sole responsibility of the common citizen.
Soot affects the lungs, heart, brain and the hope of “being healthy”.
Produced in Paper Mache, with base in wood.
