Description

I apply glaze to the glass plates, overlay them, fire them, polish them, and then create the work. In this work, the pattern of bubbles between glasses is created by piling up and twisting the layers of glass and applying heat to create the pattern of the vessel. The fragile bubbles, which disappear, are retained in the glass, and a pattern that can only be created at that moment is retained in the vessel.

Concept

I apply glaze to plate glass, overlay it, fire it, polish it, and then create my works.
My hometown, the Hida region of Gifu Prefecture, is rich in nature and is surrounded by white snow in the winter. The expression of nature, which has blown in and out of existence, makes me feel both preciousness and sadness. I draw snow, fallen leaves, bubbles, and other decaying and disappearing things in nature on plate glass, and create three-dimensional forms with vessels as the motif, based on the theme of "storing" and "storing". I feel that vessels consist of the form of "feelings" as I make them day by day. Like a puddle on the ground, I create vessels that lovingly contain things that flow away and disappear.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
