In order to perceive and recognize a thing, we need to capture it through its framework. In other words, we cannot directly perceive the thing itself, but there is something between us and the thing that synchronizes them. I call this existence "ma". In this work, I expressed this "ma" by modeling with the effects of light transmission, interception, refraction, and reflection. A mirror sheet is attached to a resin board, and then resin of different pigment concentrations and types is layered on top, or carved with a flea, and various materials are glued together. The light reflected from the mirror is used as a metaphor for the real world, and the light does not reach the viewer's eyes directly, but rather through the "ma," the distance to the eyes, which is represented by resin, microbeads, and other plastic objects. With this process, the existence of the "ma" is shown.
