The work is colored with mineral pigments on a photograph printed on Japanese paper, and natural stones are placed on top of the color. This work is a further story embedded in the work of Misuzu Shibuya, who continues to produce motifs of women with various stories. The natural stones used are Manihar quartz and black rutile. Manihar Quartz is said to have the power to balance the body, mind, and emotions, while Black Rutile has the power to help people focus on what they need to do and improve their luck in the game. Technique :Archival Pigment Print, Japanese paper(Washi), Gemstone, Animal glue, Natural mineral pigments, ed.1/3, no other sizes. Acrylic on the front of the work is not included. UV-cut acrylic can be added for an extra charge if needed. I take pictures to be someone else. I am projecting myself onto others, wishing it were me reflected here. I guess you could say it is a self-portrait using others. Although I am not yet able to face myself squarely, I would like to continue to create works of art that will enable people with similar complexes to project themselves onto others, so that one day that day will come.
