The other stomach of Paris, "rue Mouffard," is an ancient alley that runs south from the east of the Panthéon on the hill of Sainte-Genevieve on the left bank of Paris. 500 meters long, the stone-paved, downhill alley is flanked by many restaurants, including bistros, cafes, cake shops, bakeries, delicatessens and other stores. Small children, families, the elderly, the young, and people of all skin colors pass through the alley. Time passes as both tourists and local residents mingle. Atget/Agier left many photos of this neighborhood around 1910.
