◆Detail: Rue aux fleurs et rue des Ursins, 4e Paris The 4th arrondissement/Cour quai aux fleurs et rue des Ursins, 4e Paris The island of Cité, the birthplace of Paris, is located in the Seine River. The island is bordered on the west by the Rue du Palais, and on the east by the Rue des Ursins, which runs north-south. The street on the right bank of the eastern end of the Cité is the Rue des Au Flars. This area north of Notre-Dame Cathedral is the only part of the Cité where the old townscape before the Ottoman renovation remains, and once we could see the now lost spire of Notre-Dame Cathedral at the end of Rue des Chantres.
