The work was created on a glass sidewalk in the evening, taking advantage of the light coming from the back, especially emphasizing the difference between light and dark. The Zen monk was placed in the middle of the sidewalk because of the Buddhist term "無明 (Mumyo)," which means ignorance.
"無明" is a Buddhist term meaning ignorance, and is a metaphor for the dualism of a mind that is lost and a mind that is not lost. Inspired by this Buddhist term, I visually expressed the worries and hesitations caused by the problems of the mind, which have been diversified by modernization, with the difference between light and dark inserted into modern architecture.
