    Concept

Hiroyuki Miyazaki is a photographer from Nagasaki Prefecture. He has been photographing people, flora and fauna, landscapes/nightscapes, events/festivals, etc., with a focus on street photography in Nagasaki Prefecture. From time to time, he also creates art works with his creativity. Nagasaki Prefecture is a port city with a deep history of exchange between Japan and Asia, located on the western edge of Kyushu. It is home to facilities that convey the tragedy of war, such as the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Park, both registered as World Heritage sites. There are also many historical sites where Japanese and foreign cultures interacted, such as Dejima, the only place in the Edo period where trade with foreign countries was possible, and many churches. People living in Nagasaki Prefecture lead vibrant lives, participating in seasonal events and festivals in a rich natural environment surrounded by the sea and mountains. I photograph and document the landscape and people of Nagasaki Prefecture. To take a good photograph, you need a composition, a scene, a moment (a gesture of emotional expression) that you have never seen before. I believe that sensitivity, foresight, mountain intuition, creativity, and luck are necessary to notice small changes, and I walk around taking pictures every day with the aim of creating such works.
