Here is my collection of the 'Banksy Tunnel'. The artwork is constantly changing and I started documenting the evolution of the street art from the same spot in my style. I took the first shot in 2018 on my old NikonD3300, then the next one in 2019 on my Sony a7 and the latest is from 2021. Unfortunately, there is nothing from 2020 as unfortunately, I was not able to travel to London because of Covid.
The shot from 2019 is one of the most famous photographs of this iconic spot, featured at Skyscanner.com, SecretLondon.com and SouthbankLondon.com. The photo was shared a gazillion times and went viral on the internet. This image is often linked to the tunnel and the name Banksy. The Banksy Tunnel (as it is now often called) is the only spot in London where graffiti artists are tolerated to paint without a permit. Originally, it is called Leake Street Tunnel. However, in 2008, Banksy hosted a secret event called “Cans Festival,” as a way to celebrate the graffiti community.
