Image of two whale sharks crossing paths in the north sea of Sumbawa. They accumulate in the region trying to steal the catch of the fisherman who is fishing for krill and I was there to capture them.
Indonesia, known as the island paradise, is as rich below the waves as it is above. Part of a series of photos representing marine life around different Islands in the archipelago. This series of photos are taken over the last 4 years. Indonesia has implemented some huge areas for marine parks and ocean conservation, but there is still a lot to be done. The aim of these photos is to use black & white as a medium, to draw attention to the subject and highlight the character of the beings that live below the waves. Showcasing what we are striving to protect and why more needs to be done. The photos are a part of an ongoing personal project showcasing the wonders of the underwater world in an attempt to help create public interest.
