“How many doors do you open and pass through in a day?”
In general, a door is a structured designed to enter the boundary of a new space or into it from a certain space. As we live in a reality with an overwhelming number of events occurring in everyday, we are confronted with challenging feelings. We inevitably run to/ from many of those moments. For those living in the present a door could mean the entrance to a ‘challenge’ that takes a step forward, away from, reality. It could also mean an exit, allowing one to avoid reality. The artist installed a white door in the beautiful scenery of landscape that, in order to deliver only a hopeful message, the door was only marked as ‘challenge.’ The general meaning came as a ‘challenge’ for the artist, considering that new challenges always come together with new places, thoughts, and determinations. From this ‘new challenge’ point of view, famous tourist attractions and the scenes behind them mean that they serve to bridge the existing space and a new space.
