Wood 20a2b is an abstraction of the wood on a tree-trunk of a very famous tree (Stumpy) that once stood in Madison Park in NYC. In this version of the main image (Wood 20), I have rotated the image 90 degrees to horizontal, so the wood in question does not appear to be part of a vertical tree, but the wood surface of a man-made table, as you look down on it. I have reduced the coloration to very pale tones, in pale blue, gray and bone, making the wood look even more aged, weathered, and bleached by the sun than the already aged look it had. The kind of bleached look driftwood has after it has sat in the sand of a beach for many years.
