Esplanade 2 - Storm Water 5c13 is an abstraction of reflections of the sky and clouds in the water of the Hudson River just before a storm arrives. Although the storm had not yet arrived where this particular patch of water was, the part of the sky which is reflected, is some miles to the west, over New Jersey, and the storm was already present at that location. There are several versions of the main image (Esplanade 2 - Storm Water 5), limited to 3 prints for each version. In this version, 5c13, I have reduced contrast, making the reflection of the sky a pale gray blue and the reflected clouds, distorted by the rippled water surface, I have rendered in deep blue, gray, and black
