This work is a fusion of photographs taken in Kyoto and paintings. The work is digitally pigment printed on bamboo washi paper and made into a hanging scroll. <Statement> Kyoto has been the capital of Japan for over 1000 years since 794 AD. And now there are 3 companies that have been in existence for 1,000 years and 1,400 companies that have been in existence for more than 100 years in this small town. In this small town. The Gion Festival has also been held since 869. This year marks the 1153rd festival. Kyoto has been hit by war and entire towns have disappeared many times. Today, even just walking around the town, one can feel 1,000 years of history. In a corner of the town. Or you can feel the history in a meal or in a conversation with people. I try to capture Kyoto with my camera and create a work of art, but I can't fit it all in. So, with the help of paint materials, I began to draw images of Kyoto on Canvas and combined them with photographs to create this work. What surprised me while creating the work was that Kyoto is very bright. I feel the future of Japan. They are reforming and innovating using the oldness as a weapon. It is a city that is making newness its own. I think Kyoto is an ideal place for human beings to live. My "Inoda coffee" is the best in the world.
