Shades of Brown, is from a project I am working on, which highlights how being different doesn’t make one an outsider, but rather it makes us unique, and that's what makes our world beautiful.
Using a queer male and an albino for this piece was crucial as they are some of prime subjects to discrimination and ridicule in my society.
People are not white or black, we are largely different shades of brown. Indeed, even within our families our skin tones are different.
Also, being different goes beyond just skin color. Like race, it is also important to accept any gender, personality and nationality.
We should try to allow people to be themselves and not in any way try to change who they are. And I believe when we accept people’s differences, we are able to see the beauty of this world.
