Description

Kanha Tiger Reserve, one of the World’s most beautiful forest from India. I prefer to visit this place during the winter as one can not imagine the play of light during this season. Swamp deer (Barasingha), a state animal of Madhya Pradesh, India, is the key highlight of this park. One fine morning , just at the first strike of sun-rays, I saw these swamp deers grazing in the meadows, with myst all around and that’s when I decided to make this image, which gives a different feel to this image

Concept

This image is of one of the dominant male tiger, named Kumbha from Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve, Rajasthan, India. The tiger was hiding behind the stack of rocks and I had conceived this image in my mind. The situation was perfect to make this image, only if Tiger looks into my lens. But, this was not enough, as I didn’t have a clear view of Tiger and I had to climb on the top of the Safari Jeep, with barely nothing to hold to get balance. I stood up, holding my camera pointing at Tiger and my efforts paid off as he looked at me. My awkward position was quiet an alarming one and I could barely make 3-4 shots.
