When color photography was not yet invented, coloring was simply used to give photos the desired
colourfulness.
By coloring, also manually influencing a photograph, I worked out the character of a scene, giving
the details more structure and attention. Coloring with the hand allows me to intervene in the
situation, interpret it or create illusions. I use different techniques, water colors, protein glazes and
image processing programs. Each picture has been processed in an elaborate process to bring it to
life in new colors.
The following works were created through the color processing of a black and white photo, these
have been created both analog and digital since 2016.
In mountaineering, and especially in climbing, a rope team is a group of mountaineers or climbers who are connected to one another by a safety rope. In a more general sense, a group of mountaineers who are traveling together is also referred to as a rope team if they are not connected with a rope.
With the common safety rope, a rope team offers its members mutual protection against falling. At the same time, a rope team also forms a community of danger; because under unfavorable conditions a fall of a single member can lead to a fall of the entire rope team.
