This work is a group of photographs depicting a bird of fire that burns the life in this world, eventually turning it into ashes and leading the light born from it to the heavens. A Japanese pyrotechnist once said, "I wish all the gunpowder in the world could be fireworks. People's faces look up to the heavens as they watch fireworks shoot into the night sky. Children and adults alike, all with smiles on their faces. Perhaps I am capturing the thoughts of these people.
