Description

This is one piece that shocked me with the never-before-seen lines drawn by countless spinning stars (gunpowder). It felt as if at the moment a golden firebird was descending to human beings. The main visual for the solo exhibition "Firebird II" (2020) held in Nihonbashi. Taken on 2018/07/14, 20:11:56 (Tamamura Fireworks Festival) FUJIFILM gelatin silver print on aluminum backing (this work was made when I was presenting silver halide photography). Concept

The firebird is a legendary bird that is said to live forever. Eternity does not mean merely never dying, but rather throwing one's body into the flames and rebirth as a new life in the ashes of the flames. By repeating this process of death and life, we live forever. I express the eternity of the firebird in my photographs of fireworks. Countless fireworks are shot into the air, burning to life in the form of flames, and then quietly turn to ashes with a crackling sound. Things are born from such ashes.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
