Description

It was a trip to Iceland in 2023 and I didn't know how beautiful it is on Jökulsárlón and what to expect. It was a sunny day and we had booked a boat tour there. I was armed with 2 cameras and I couldn't stop taking pictures. I was so busy taking photos that I couldn't enjoy this fleeting moment during the half-hour trip. I had taken around 700 pictures during this time. This has now resulted in a small series, I think it will be 15 works that are supposed to show a fleeting moment. Hence the title Ephemeral.
Each work will be limited to 100 works in black and white.

I try to keep the format square in each of my works. That's my favourite format and what makes my work special. This gives the sky and the actual motif its own importance. The sky is photographed separately for each motif and then combined in the subsequent work in Photoshop.

My focus is architecture and nature photography. The images develop a special depth that blurs time and space. The perception of the right moment, the discovery of unusual perspective, the play of light and shadow, impressive symmetries and panoramas and the apparently inconspicuous detail are important to me in my pictures.

Does this art work need a frame?

In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
