Plain air, original work

We often travel around Bulgaria and I like to make watercolor sketches right on city streets, on beaches and in parks. We arrived in Nessebar, and while we were waiting for the bus at the bus station, I started making sketch, but finished it at home, using a photograph.

Andrey Bulatov creates unique color vibrations of a specific place (urban and natural environment) with the help of classical watercolor technique, using rich color contrast to emphasize and direct the interaction of man and nature into a peaceful direction.

With the help of his work, he tries to convey admiration for the forces of nature and man who was able to find harmony with the forces of nature. From his travels around Bulgaria and observations of everyday life, plots gradually emerge that form the basis for creating paintings.
