    Description

    I did the original sketch for this painting around mid 2022 when I found a stray black cat, which I immediately adopted. As it was a full moon night, I thought the setting was quite magical and decided to depict a humanoid version of her as a priestess in a magical forest.

    I particularly like the illumination in this painting and the fact that all light seems to come from the central character. I achieved this through a series of thin layers of a darker colour that were lied from outside towards her in order to simulate the light rays.

    Watercolour on archival 300 gms 100% cotton paper. All watercolour paints used are very lightfast, but please remember that it is never a good idea to hang art directly exposed to sunlight.

    Different pictures and different screens may show a slight tonal variation due to the type of light under which the pic was taken, type of screen or camera and settings.
