This painting depicts a simple yet harmonious still life of vegetables, including cabbage, pickles, and onions, and is part of a series dedicated to fruits and vegetables. I was inspired by the natural diversity of colors and textures in these humble foods, using watercolors to capture their earthy, organic essence. In this work, I used classic watercolor techniques and layered tones, employing various shades to bring out the subtle contrasts between the vegetables. The transparency of the medium allowed for gentle blending, adding depth and realism to each form.
