Words heard from the work
'I lay in the sound of my mother's life, in the deep, deep sinking water. I hear the sound of unspoken prayers. A lullaby to the child in my belly.
It is time for me to wake up and live to you."
This work was inspired by the inside of a mother's womb.
The animal lying down is a baby, and the tail is the umbilical cord.
Riding on top is a whale bird.
Whales use their songs to convey many emotions straight from a distant place.
In the same way, I believe that warm affection, anxiety, enjoyment, and various emotions are transmitted from mother to baby in the womb riding on a lullaby.
I believe that the baby comes from the mother's sea to our world with a promise that disappears when put into words.
