    Description

Something that the demon I met sometimes suddenly remembered.

Raised by my grandparents in the countryside, I was familiar with God, and I was often told about customs and traditions unique to the region during the season.

Among them, people in Aomori called “itako” who were called “itako” or “Yuta” in Okinawa lived nearby.

We called "Ogami-Sama" them in my living area.

When things were at a milestone or when unhappiness continued, I relied on “Ogami-sama” to go to consultations.

It was an area where such culture remained strong.

“You're kind, so animals Ghost come here.” Every time I went there, "Ogami-sama" told me that.

Also, when I chanted something like nembutsu, I remember being rubbed all over my back by a large rosary that seemed to be about my height, which I had never seen before.

When my back is being rubbed, I somehow say, “Wow.” I wonder if something foggy like a cloud just slips through my head, and something bad has come out? There was a feeling like that.

I wonder if strange things that cannot be seen with the eye usually exist in the world? It felt nonsensical.

Around this time, I was still faintly thinking so, but maybe it's like a specter who's a transparent figure or something you don't know what kind of creature it is? I began to see things like that.

I started to see them when I was about 20 years old.

There are waves, but as the years went by, they became stronger and I began to feel them.

Another world, another dimension. There is such a parallel world, and things that cannot be sensed by the five human senses, such as sight and hearing, but currently most of them cannot be recognized, and they have not been scientifically proven.

In a sense, this vast world is full of possibilities.

Nowadays, “Ogami-sama” is gone, and neither are my grandparents anymore. I wish I had heard more stories. I feel that now.

    I hated the local area.

Now, I want to thank my hometown and people who have formed the core, which can be called the OS for Kemono Gallery.

We'll turn over a new page another time.

  • About this artist

    Concept

There are mysterious forces in nature. They are unstable in their existence, both seemingly visible and invisible, and I prove their existence by sensing them and embodying them in my paintings.
My definition of "kemono" is an awe-inspiring animal (also called "nushi") that is close to a god or a monster that transcends human knowledge. I call them "kemono" in general.
