The artist, inspired by the combination of the oily shiny skin of bright yellow lemons, sharp red peppers with an exquisite pattern on the silk, chose for the picture this decorative composition with a view from above. The artist would like to convey in his painting the burning sharpness of flaming peppers and the invigorating aroma of citrus, an alluring ornament on scarlet silk.
