He believes that when opposites collide, they create different energies. He is surprised to find that it also has something in common with Roberto Delaunay's principle of color. He believes that the ideal picture cannot be painted only with oil paints. He uses watercolors, which were treated as underpaints, and water-soluble oil paints, which were not available when he was in college. He uses gofun and pigments. In Japan, there are water-soluble oil paints and alkyd resin paints. Water-soluble pastels and colored pencils are also used.
