When I drew it, I thought about the poppy as a war symbol. And about the hummingbird as a peace symbol. And about situations when a peaceful mind just can't interact with war reality. Just because we have another "beak". I remember in my childhood I never understand why people still have wars. Now, deep inside, I don't understand too. I know why are we fighting (of course!), I can find some reasons even for russia (like political, historical craziness, ratings, etc). But what happened with people's "beaks" when they decided to start a war just because they want it? What happened to their mind when they start to kill people and destroy a life of millions? I don't think putin and russians are just crazy. No, they aren't. They kill us with a very "cold mind" or how to say it in English.
August 24 is our independence day, so many people are waiting for new awful things. More awful than everyday bombing. And I don't know what to think, I still don't understand invaders
So I just live my life, sell paintings, pay taxes, and hope for the best future 🤞
