For me, this is my favorite picture. Looking at it, I remember a day I spent in a small French village on the Mediterranean coast. The special atmosphere of the siesta, when the fishermen have finished their work, the locals and tourists are resting after a hearty lunch, and it is at this moment that the life of the small port city slows down and freezes. I really like to watch when the boats are calmly rocking on the dock, although not so long ago they were cutting through the waves in the open sea. Living in a large metropolis with its frenzied rhythm, you always want to return to such a quiet and peaceful place. The painting is made with professional watercolors on French-made cotton paper
