Sigiriya or "Lion's Rock" is a stone fortress and palace built on a 183-meter granite rock. In the fifth century of our era, there was such a king Datusen. He had two sons, and his father bequeathed the throne to the youngest. Kashap's eldest son hated his father.
Kashapa raised a rebellion, threw his father into prison, and then ordered him killed. Kashapa built this palace in Sigiriya, because he thought to hide here. But the younger brother returned, killed the traitor brother and destroyed this palace. Therefore, only the foundation can be seen here.
