Portloe is a small village in Cornwall, England, UK. It has been the location for films and TV series' such as Wild West with Catherine Tate and the 1964 film Crooks in Croisters, which starred the late great Barbara Windsor. The Lugger Hotel which you can see on the left was clearly shown in the final scene.
Portloe harbours two full-time working fishing vessels, the Jasmine and Katy Lil, which fish for crab and lobster in Veryan and Gerrans Bay, and a fleet of smaller leisure boats in summer.
I think this would be one of my top choices of places to retire.
I have used Japanese watercolour on Arches fine grain watercolour paper.
