Ahh, ice creams on the Barbican in Plymouth, what glorious memories, soon to be rejoining our photo albums. I have used particularly vibrant pigment to bring this painting to life.
This scene was a reminder of wonderful days on the Barbican, basking in the rare sunshine with a lovely 99 (which is the name of an ice-cream with a chocolate stick in it, they used to be 99p).
I used mainly Copic markers on watercolour paper, touching up with watercolours.
