Hi, I am Yana, a watercolor artist from Ukraine.
I fled the war and now am safe in Turkey. All of my original artworks from before are at home, in Kyiv, Ukraine. I am not able to deliver them as of now.
However, this watercolor portrait of a smiling happy girl is a new watercolor piece I created already in Turkey so it is possible to deliver to you.
For a long time, I could not create art.
After a month of the war, I found the strength to paint again. I started working on a collection of beautiful Ukrainian women in traditional clothing, accessory, and flower crowns.
This is yet another portrait of a Ukrainian girl cheerful and smiling as if nothing has happened. This is the Future of Ukraine that soon will come.
Sunflowers are iconic flowers of Ukraine and they will bloom again on our land.
This artwork symbolizes the peace that we are so looking for and hope that helps us to get through this.
